SOCR presents a variety of Special Awards to recognize individuals whohave conducted research resulting in peer-reviewed publications relevant to genetics, cancer and cancer-related biomedical science, or who have madesubstantial contributions to cancer research in an administrative oreducational capacity, are eligible. Evidence of papers relevant to genetics,cancer and cancer-related biomedical science may be provided as qualificationsfor selection in lieu of peer-reviewed publications. Aswellas those whose work has had a significant impact on public awareness aboutcancer, its causes, cures, and treatment.
